Descriptions
Since 2018, Coek has also been manufacturing horizontal reactors for JPP, whose technology, like Ineos’s, is rooted in the AMOCO approach developed in the early 1990s. In addition, Coek began producing PP reactors based on the Lummus (Novolen) design in collaboration with Ekato.
To date, Coek has delivered over 70 PP reactors. Over time, the company’s scope has expanded from supplying just the reactor and agitator to delivering the complete reactor section, including instrumentation, drive systems, seals, and piston valves. Throughout more than three decades of experience, Coek has continuously improved and modified reactor designs in response to end-user feedback. As a result, today’s PP projects incorporate both licensor specifications and Coek’s own enhancements developped to optimize reactor operation.
Coek also oversees the commissioning of reactor sections at end-user sites, supported by a dedicated team of subcontractors
type
Polypropylene Reactors
Coek is involved in the fabrication of PP reactors for several technologies like Ineos, JPP and Novolen.
Produced Products
PP reactor in Carbon Steel
— Carbon SteelThe reactors are fabricated in Carbon steel, but the horizontal reactors under Ineos and JPP technology requires a very limited clearance between internal surface of the reactor, and the agitator blades, resulting in a complex machining activity of the entire internal surface of the reactor, control at the same time the stifness of the equipment, and assure the optimal alignment of the agitator during installation.
Agitators in SS and CS
— Carbon SteelThe agitators in carbon steel and stainless steel are fabricated by Coek, to ensure the narrow tolerances with the internal surface of the reactor. Trimming of the agitator is required to ensure the limited deformation of the reactor during operation.
Mechanical seals
The mechanical seal on the drive end, as well as dry seal on the floating end of the reactor are designed in cooperation with Flowserve. The usage of the dry seal is an enhancement designed and developped by Coek, to improve the operational conditions of the process.
Drive system (motor, voith coupling, gearbox)
The drive system includes the motor, gearbox, and coupling all preinstalled on a base frame to improve the efficiency during installation at site. Direct on line motors as well as variable drive speed systems are provided.
Piston valves
The piston valves, for powder outlet are included in Coek’s scope. The design and fabrication of the pistons should be flush with the reactor to avoid the risk of block forming.
Instrumentation (Pressure, temperature)
Coek has developped a long term experience in the deisgn of related instrumentation for the PP reactor section including temperature, pressure, and flow measurement.
Seal Oil Units
Oil units for the mechanical seals and gear boxes are part of the scope of supply. The design of these units typically deviate from the standard spec, but are based on a long term experience of more then 30 years in the this field of application.
Lubrication system
A lubrication system is designed to have an automatic greasing system on the drive end as well as on the floating end of the reactor.
Nuclear level measurement system
The Nuclear level measurement system is designed by Coek in cooperation with our sub vendors, in order to assure an optimal level interpretation, which allows optimal operation of the reactors. Coek is taking care of transport and certification of the nuclear sources up to the country of destination.
Materials
Carbon Steel
All Polypropelene reactors are fabricated in Carbon steel. Although the agitators are produced in Carbon steel or Stainless steel, depending on the application.
