Descriptions

The production of renewable biofuels is a technically complex yet essential step in the global shift towards sustainable energy. These processes often involve high-temperature and high-pressure reactions using corrosive media like hydrogen or methanol.

Biofuel products

Biofuel processes demand robust materials that can withstand high pressure, temperature, and aggressive chemicals. Coek provides tailor-made solutions using duplex, stainless steel and high-alloy materials to guarantee operational reliability.

Shell and Tube heat exchangers

— Hastelloy C276 with Sanicro™ 35 tube materials.

Heat exchangers were fabricated using C276 weldoverlay for the shells, and Sanicro(TM) 35 for the tube materials and internals. The main trigger to use Sanicro 35 materials is the similar corrosion resistance for the used application, but a much lower material cost due to lower Ni content of the material.
