Climate emission requirements become more and more a topic. In order to reducing fossil fuel emissions, the role of biofuels will become crucial, especially in reducing emissions in heavy traffic, such as road freight transport, shipping and aviation.
Coek was involved in the supply of equipment used to produce biofuels.

Brine purification used during the fabrication of EPOXY resins is a technique which requires equipment using high end oxotic materials like Ti GR17 and Zirconium materials. Coek has fabricated equipment (Columns, reactors and heat exchangers) for the brine treatment technology patented by KVT in Austria.

For Nickel and Cobalt, HPAL (High Pressure Acid Leaching) technology is commonly used to extract nickel and Cobalt from laterate ore bodies. This process utilizes elevated temperatures and pressures (>250 °C, and > 50 barg) combined with sulfuric acid to separate nickel and cobalt.

PEF is a polymer that can be produced by polycondensation of furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) and ethylene glycol. As an aromatic polyester from ethylene glycol, it is a chemical analogue of PET (polyethylene terephthalate), but is considered as a bio-based replacement of PTA in the production of PET.

Poly carbonate (PC) is an advanced copolymer resins with outstanding transparency, impact resistance and heat resistance. These unique properties have resulted in a wide range of applications such as bulletproof windows, unbreakable lenses. The application introduced by SABIC is using tantalum as its main material to protect again the high corrosion conditions of the equipment.

Since 1990, Coek has been engaged in the fabrication of polypropylene (PP) reactors, with a primary focus on horizontal reactors used for producing homopolymer, copolymer, and impact copolymer grades. During the 1990s, Coek became the exclusive manufacturer of horizontal reactors using Ineos technology.

Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) is one of the essential raw materials used in manufacturing high-performance multipurpose plastics. These include polyethylene terephthalate (PET), poly-butyl terephthalate(PBT) and bioplastics. This material also has a high demand for manufacturing polyester fibers for clothes, polyester coating resins, and plastics bottles.
