Titanium Vessels – Avantium PEF Plant
For Avantium’s PEF plant in Delfzijl, Coek manufactured several titanium process vessels. The equipment included a solid titanium reactor fitted with a stainless steel pillow plate jacket, as well as multiple GR2 titanium vessels. The plant became operational in 2023.

This project contributed to the scale-up of PEF, a bio-based alternative of PTA in the production of PET. Coek’s fabrication of corrosion-resistant titanium vessels supports the development of sustainable packaging solutions with improved barrier properties.
